Chuka University Vice Chancellor Professor Erastus Njoka has resigned from his position joining the growing list of Civil Servants entering politics.
Professor Njoka is seeking to be elected as Tharaka Nithi County Governor.
Speaking to the press on Tuesday, Njoka said that he left a legacy at the University where he has been at the helm for the last 16 years.
Njoka noted that during his tenure he has never been implicated in any graft allegation and set a standard in improving the University, notably University buildings built at a cost of Ksh 15 billion.
He said that prudent use of resources was the only key element for any kind of development
Njoka at the same time appealed to Kenyans to do peaceful politics and let no one be divided either ethnically or by politicians.
