The FKF Transition Committee has announced that the off-season transfer window will close on 7th of September and not 31st August as earlier stated.

The window has been open since the 2021/22 season came to a close in June and was initially due to close on the final day of August.

In a letter signed by the committee’s head of secretariat Linda Oguttu, clubs have been afforded more time to complete their transfer businesses.

“Clubs are advised to ensure that they complete all their registration before the mentioned deadline as there shall be no further extensions,” Oguttu said.

With the FIFA Connect system out of the caretaker committee’s access, clubs will have to register players manually or send them to the committee through email.

“The physical registration forms should either be delivered at Nyayo Stadium or sent via mail to Michael Kirwa (michaelkirwa@fkftransitioncommittee.co.ke) on or before the mentioned deadline.”

There has been a tussle between the committee and the FKF Management Committee over the running of the league after the later, a body composed of FKF Branches officials insisted that the transition committee will have to handover to them as they have ‘run down’ football during their tenure that started in November.
