Following a topsy-turvy campaign last season, Nzoia Sugar FC head coach Salim Babu now believes his boys are better placed for a vigorous challenge in the Kenyan Premier League and expects the team to perform much better when the camping begins.
The Sudi-based side posted a 14th-place finish last season in a campaign that cost head coach Collins Omondi his job after a string of poor performances.
Head coach Babu who helped the team dodge the axe last term noted that the positivity in the squad “is enough for them to post a better performance in the next campaign”.
“We will perform well in the coming season because if you look at how we have been training and how we have prepared for the season there is a lot of positivity in the camp and that makes me confident that we are going to have a better season than the last one,” said Babu.
Babu heaped praise on his signees, noting they have blended well with the old guards.
“We have prepared well, I must say even if they say the league is starting tomorrow, we are good to go, I am so proud of my boys, Yasin CJ and Stephen Otieno who have settled well in the team and so far we have no gaps,” Babu told
