Posta Rangers thrashed Ulinzi Stars 2-0 to end a three-match winless run while bottom-placed Nzoia Sugar made light work of KCB to pick their only third win of the season as the FKF-Premier League midweek action continued on Thursday afternoon

At Ulinzi Sports Complex, the two unanswered goals moved Posta Rangers within two points of league leaders Gor Mahia, who top the charts on 31 points ahead of their tomorrow’s fixture against Bandari at Machakos.

The Mailmen took the lead in the 33rd minute after Brian Otieno’s fine effort before they extended their lead in the 67th minute to put the nail in the coffin for the Soldiers, who have picked just five points in the last five matches.

Visiting Nzoia Sugar stunned KCB 1-0 at Police Sacco Stadium with the Bankers dropping to third on the log.

Meanwhile, Kariobangi Sharks ended their six-match winless run after a 3-0 rout against Talanta FC at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

The Slum Boys dominated the match from the start and went ahead in the 23rd minute when Geoffrey Onyango converted from the spot.

Keith Imbali extended Sharks’ lead after eleven minutes before Stanley Wilson made it 3-0 just 11 minutes into the second half.

In Thika, a last-gasp Eugene Ikutwa’s goal gave Bidco United a 1-0 win over Shabana which saw the former move to seventh position on the league table.
