The Kenya National Highway Authority has temporarily closed Moses Tanui Road at Tecla Lorupe Junction.
In a statement, KeNHA said this would allow for maintenance.
“To minimise traffic, motorists accessing Moses Tanui Road from Mombasa Road shall proceed straight ahead along Tecla Lorupe Road to Cosmas Ndeti Junction where they will turn right to access Moses Tanui Road,” KeNHA said.
The agency urged motorists to approach the area with caution to prevent traffic accidents.
The maintenance work is expected to end on Wednesday next week before operations on the road get back to normal.
The agency has also assured those using the road that there will be traffic marshalls on the site to smoothen the flow of traffic on the road.
Meanwhile, Moja Expressway has also warned motorists of a disruption to traffic for five days.
The Haile Selassie Toll Station Entrance B, which is next to the Kenya Railways Museum, is undergoing planned maintenance, according to a statement released by Moja Expressway. This is the reason for the traffic inconvenience.
Motorists who use the road have been urged to plan for possible traffic delays.
